So, the big choice if you want a property in North Cyprus is between an apartment or a villa. Unfortunately, what I find is that people have preconceived ideas about what to purchase before they even begin looking.

Villas are of course more expensive with higher running costs and upkeep but offer more privacy and prestige. Apartments on the other hand are less expensive and with less running costs and of course they require considerably less upkeep.

If your plan is to come and live in North Cyprus then the obvious choice is a Villa providing you have the finances. However, if you want to dip in and out of North Cyprus then from my experience in supporting customers over the years I would seriously advise considering an apartment instead of a Villa. In the final analysis it does depend on your finances and the lifestyle you want.

I often get enquiries from customers who have a limited budget and have the dream of owning a Villa. These customers would often be wiser and much happier if they purchased an apartment.
