The Dee European Hotel

This family-owned Hotel is a casino hotel used mainly by Turkish visitors. It is not a dedicated holiday hotel, but is good for a short stay because of its proximity to the town. 

Two other hotels in the Famagusta area are The Sky Venus Beach Hotel and Crystal Rocks Hotel. Both of these are of a much lower standard.

Hotels in Kyrenia (Girne)

Hotels in Kyrenia can be broadly divided into two types, those with a casino as part of the hotel and those without a casino. The casino hotels tend to be larger and attract Turkish visitors particularly at the weekends. The following is some information about the more popular of the hotels

The Ship Inn

A popular hotel with well-maintained gardens and a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.  This resort offers garden rooms, one and two bedroom mini villas and some newly built one bedroom apartments.  Close to the town centre (1.5 miles). Great mountain views. Very popular.

 Almond Holiday Village

A delightful family run hotel situated in the beautiful village of Alsancak with a mountain backdrop.  Within walking distance to the nearest sandy beach.  The accommodation includes mini villa, bungalows and a few hotel rooms.  8 miles from the town centre. Very good service and food.

Kings Court Holiday Complex

A cheap and cheerful self catering hotel offering two bedroom bungalows and studio rooms.  Also offers long term lets.  Good value, friendly hotel with reasonable prices.  Local beaches only a 2 minute walk and various restaurants within 5 minutes.  Situated on the north west coast near the small village of Alsancak.  Frequent local mini buses available. Cheap and cheerful.

Pia Bella Hotel

Another popular hotel offering a high standard of accommodation and service.  The Pia Bella is within walking distance to the town centre, the old harbour and local shops and restaurants.  A selection of standard, superior and deluxe rooms are available at this hotel.

Malpas Hotel & Spa

The Malpas Hotel  is set in a stunning peaceful location in Catalkoy village  and offers luxury modern amenities including a Casino and beach club.  A contemporary style hotel with standard hotel rooms, villas and bungalows set in beautiful gardens with remarkable sea and mountain views. 5 miles from the town centre (courtesy bus service available).

Mercure Hotel & Wellness Resort

This is a luxury all inclusive hotel located in the village of Alsancak just 4 miles from the town centre.  The village of Alsancak is renowned for it bistro’s, restaurants and bars.  This hotel has its own health spa and fitness centre.

Cratos Premium

This casino hotel has its own private beach and mini harbour with standard, superior and suite rooms on offer.  A large modern hotel with both outdoor and indoor swimming pools and a fitness centre with spa and a wide range of restaurants and bars.  3 miles to the town centre.

Acapulco Beach Club and Resort Hotel

This hotel is located on a golden sandy beach with shallow waters.  A lively resort with its own aqua park, spa with Turkish bath and casino.  There is a choice of accommodation in hotel rooms or in studio style bungalows set in extensive mature gardens.  6 miles east of central Kyrenia, reached by regular shuttle bus service (payable locally).

There are, of course, many other hotels to choose from in the Kyrenia area.
